The food is very good particularly the Haggis. Best meal in Scotland. We had the scotch egg and the Whiski Rooms salad. Been going at life a little hard of late? The Beef Steak in a Pie was lovely. Supposedly the oldest pub in Edinburgh. The staff is super nice, hard working, and they even remembered us from the previous visit. Street markets. Light and crisp! We ate mussles and fish board. The menu booklet is a mood.
Reservations are a must, as we saw several people who had wandered in turned away. The outside was interesting too, with an inscription above the door from the building previous life, I love seeing things like that preserved. The traditional bar atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing evening out, while the restaurant offers an extensive range of Scottish cuisine that is sure to please even the most discerning taster. Highly recommend this place. Our table ordered fish and chips, burger, haggis and a steak pie. I heartily recommend a visit here.
